	Archaeology.ie The National Monuments Service hosts this excellent website. It includes a monuments database with links to maps of all of the registered monuments in the Republic of Ireland. Also, excavation reports, shipwrecks, codes of practice etc.
	24 Hour Museum This site promotes publicly-funded UK museums, galleries, archives and heritage attractions.
	Bann Valley Pre-History Museum CIC Community museum in Banbridge, County Down.
	Down County Museum The museum collects, conserves and exhibits artefacts and also has a reference library holding books on subjects such as St Patrick, transportation to Australia, crime and punishment.
	Excavations.ie Online database of Irish excavation reports. Contains summary accounts of all the excavations carried out in Ireland - North and South - from 1970 to 2000.
	Fermanagh County Museum Along with collections of local artefacts from the earliest times, this progressive museum runs an education programme working closely with local schools and libraries.
	INSTAR web archive INSTAR [the Irish National Strategic Archaeological Research] is a Heritage Council funded programme INSTAR for thematic archaeological research. The web archive is a searchable archive of archaeological reports.
	Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland The Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland (IAI) was founded in 2001 and is a professional organisation representing archaeologists working through out Ireland. Our membership includes all sectors of the profession in both jurisdictions.
	Millmount Museum Located in the centre of Drogheda, County Louth overlooking the historic river Boyne. Site includes events listings and information on the museum's displays, guided tours and group visits.
	Museums and Galleries of Northern Ireland Gateway to the Ulster Museum, Armagh County Museum, Ulster-American Folk Park, Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.
Monaghan County Museum	Monaghan County Museum Apart from local artefacts, the Museum has a good collection of local history reference books and a significant collection of archival material: estate records (rentals, maps etc.) and local authority records.
	National Museum of Ireland The nation’s premier cultural institution and that with the strongest emphasis on Ireland’s art, material culture and natural history.
	National Roads Authority excavations This is a searchable database of NRA excavations in Ireland.
	The Discovery Programme An archaeological research institution dedicated to investigating Ireland's past from earliest times and presenting the results to as wide an audience as possible.
